There are 6 hotels: Disneyland Hotel (Victorian, 500 rooms), Hotel New York (New York, 574 rooms, designed by Michael Graves, which has a character breakfast, conference center and an outside skating rink), Hotel Santa Fe (New Mexico, 1000 rooms), Newport Bay Club (New England Bay Area, 1098 rooms), Sequoia Lodge (American nature, 1011 rooms, designed by Antoine Grumbach) and Hotel Cheyenne (Wild West, 1000 rooms, designed by Robert Stern). You can also stay at Davy Crockett Ranch, bungalows in the woods, 414 cabins. You have your own fully functioning kitchen in the cabin, but you have to bring you own dish cloth (soap etc. is provided, there is a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, water boiler, coffee machine and all, but no dish cloth). However, it's necessary to travel by car, because it's not all that close to the park. If you want to swim, bring your own towels, since you can't take them from the hotel room/cabins and they charge for towels at the pool. There are cabins for 4 or 6 people. The larger cabins have twin beds and a bunk bed. In the woods, a lot of activities are organized which makes it a fun place to stay for parties over 4 with kids.

Each hotel has its own information leaflet at the check-in desk: Welcome (Bienvenue, Wilkommen; used to be "Passport"), with everything you want to know about rules, breakfast, swimming, having a masseuse etc. You open your room with a key card, which expires after 11:00 on the final day, so you can keep it as a souvenir, or mail it to the writer of this report. Rooms are equipped with bath/douche, toilet, soap, towels, soap/gel, and expensive hotels have minibar and/or Minitel computer. There are kingsize beds on each room (one or two) and only hotel Cheyenne offers the possibility of a bed- bunkbed combination. For 100 FF you can add an extra bed in your room. If you have a credit card, no check-out procedure is necessary. The phone can be programmed as an answering machine and a wake-up call (just type the alarm clock followed by 0800 and she will say "This is your complimentary wake-up call" the next morning at 8). In the cheaper hotels (Santa Fe and Cheyenne) have ventilation in stead of air conditioning.
Between park and the hotels there is a free bus service, but the distances are not that big. At the end of the day, some people tend to disagree with me on the distances, though.

Food
Inside the park the low fat products are indicated with fruit symbols on the menu.
Continental breakfast (croissant, petit-pain, sweet bread, orange juice, refill cup for
coffee, tea, milk or chocolade milk, jam, honey and butter is 59 FF. On a buffet breakfast
you can also find cornflakes, cheese, warm milk etc. Child's menus (in Disneybox with
surprise) are 32 to 40 FF and are intended for children until 11, Grown ups can choose
specials for 50 FF (Chef Mickey) or 40 FF (Donald menu). The number of restaurants is as
big as the number of specialities, even in fast food there's a big choice. Extra
mayonaise, ketchup, mostard, sugar, brown sugar, nutra- sweet, salt and pepper, are
available at salad bars or counters. If you want to eat in a real restaurant with table
service The Blue Lagoon has the best fish dish, and for spicy food I suggest Hakuna
Matata. In table service restaurants you can get crayons for the kids and in counter
service restaurants you can find jigsaw puzzles, stickers or even refrigerator magnets of
the latest cartoon feature in the Children's menus.
The most expensive table service restaurant is on the intersection of Main Street and
Flower Street: Walt's. 1401 Flower Street was the real address of Walt Disney Imagineering
Company in Glendale. Usually you have to reserve a table. You can see a lot of woodwork
and marble in the building and the interior is livened with props from Disney heritage and
the building of the park.
